Two new cast members have been announced for the upcoming BLACK TORCH TV anime series during Jump Festa 2026. The series is scheduled to begin airing in Japan in July 2026.
The new cast includes Junichi Suwabe as Ryosuke Shiba (left below) and Reina Ueda as Hana Usami (right below).

They join a previously announced voice cast that includes:
- • Ryota Suzuki as Jiro Azuma
- • Yoji Ueda as Rago
- • Sayaka Sembongi as Ichika Kishimojin
- • Junya Enoki as Reiji Kirihara
Original manga creator Tsuyoshi Takaki also released an illustration to celebrate the additional cast members.

Kei Umabiki (Quality Assurance in Another World) is directing the anime series, with Go Suzuki (Sword Art Online: Alicization co-character designer) as character designer, Kigaemon Ichikawa (Bogus Skill <> ~About that time I became able to eat unlimited numbers of Skill Fruits (that kill you~)) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Yutaka Yamada (Vinland Saga) as music composer. 100studio is handling the animation production for the series.
Takaki’s sci-fi supernatural action manga series ran in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine from December 31, 2016, to March 2, 2018. It then moved to the Shonen Jump+ website on April 11, 2018, where it continued for four more chapters until its conclusion later that July. Five total tankobon volumes were published in Japan.
