Bihar: Dog’s photo appears on Rohtas man’s admit card issued 4 years after exam announced

In a shocking incident of suspected negligence in the conduct of public examinations, the admit card issued to a man in Bihar’s Rohtas district for a recruitment test allegedly carries the photograph of a dog instead of his own.

The candidate, Ritesh Kumar, had applied for the examination after vacancies for peons in the District and Sessions Court were notified in 2022. However, the admit card for the recruitment examination was issued just recently, after a long delay of nearly four years.

According to Kumar, when he downloaded his admit card for the preliminary examination scheduled on March 15, he was shocked to see that the photograph on the admit card was that of a golden retriever.

The job aspirant said he had uploaded his correct photograph at the time of submitting the application, showing a copy of the acknowledgement slip to substantiate his claim.

Kumar has said that the alleged error has made him a subject of ridicule in his area. He also claimed that he has lodged several complaints with the concerned recruitment board, requesting correction of the mistake.

However, he said no action has been taken so far, even though the examination date is approaching.

The candidate has urged the authorities to rectify the error immediately so that he can appear for the examination without any disruption.
