Bhumi Pednekkar wore a multicoloured lehenga from Shehla Chatoor’s Husn collection for Eka Lakhani’s wedding, styled by Nidhi Jeswani. Chevron bands mark the black base in jewel tones, traced with metallic embroidery that sharpens the pattern. A denser border at the hem adds heft, and the slanted bands draw the eye across the flare of the skirt.
The halter-neck blouse is densely worked with marodi embroidery, crystals, stones, and beadwork, with a high front neckline and a wide-open back. Its heavily embellished surface sits in contrast to the more graphic pattern of the skirt; its surface packed enough that it reads almost like jewellery in its own right.
Jeswani styled the look with earrings from Kakun Fine Jewellery, along with a statement neckpiece and cuff from Joules by Radhika. Pednekkar wore her hair in a sleek low bun, leaving the neckline and back fully visible. A deep plum smoky eye brought intensity to the beauty look, joined by soft contouring, blush, winged liner and a glossy rose-pink lip.

“Add a bit more drama by replacing the polki studs with a pair of oversized jhumkas studded with smaller polki diamonds. Add a stole of the same pattern as the lehenga skirt and wear it loosely hanging across both arms; this will elevate the look from dancing queen to empress,” says Manglien Gangte, Vogue India fashion associate.
