The essence of Bhagavad Gita is victory of good over evil and the epic has the power to guide human society towards the right path, said TTD’s Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishat (HDPP) secretary Sriram Raghunath on Sunday (December 07, 2025).
He was speaking after distributing prizes to the students who excelled in Bhagavad Gita Shloka recitation competitions conducted earlier, at Annamacharya Kalamandiram here on Sunday.
The HDPP had conducted the Bhagavad Gita memorising competitions at 59 centres across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chennai and Bengaluru, in which nearly 8,500 students took part.
“If one recites the verses scientifically at a young age and understands the essence, one can scale great heights in future,” he said.
Eminent scholars Amudala Murali, KTV Raghavan and Sunita were judges of the competition.
