The third season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is scheduled to premiere in October 2027. The third season will cover the manga’s “Golden Land Arc.” It was announced on the official X/Twitter after the airing of the last episode of season 2. A teaser visual featuring Macht, an important character in the latest story, was also released.

The anime adaptation of Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe’s Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End began airing in April 2020, while its second season premiered in January 2026. It follows the story of Frieren, an elf, after her journey in defeating the Demon King. Throughout the story of her life, after defeating the Demon King, she meets new friends along the way.
The original manga began its serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2020 and won the 48th Kodansha Awards’ Shonen category, and is one of the winners of the 69th Shogakukan Manga Award. As of March 2026, the manga has released 15 manga volumes. The manga went on hiatus in October 2025.
Viz Media has licensed and is publishing the manga in English. The Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End TV anime series can be streamed on both Netflix and Crunchyroll.
