Beloved children’s entertainer Emma Memma brings ‘Jungle Picnic’ live show to Adelaide this school holidays

Emma Memma is heading to Adelaide next week, bringing her colourful new live show Jungle Picnic to Norwood Concert Hall for three performances on Monday 13 April.

With shows set for 10am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, the much-loved children’s entertainer will transform her latest album into an interactive on-stage adventure filled with music, movement, games and imaginative play for young audiences and their families.

Inspired by Emma’s 2026 album Jungle Picnic, the show invites children to step into Emma Memma’s world of outdoor fun, where picnic baskets, pet rocks, dancing elephants and singalong moments all become part of the experience. It’s designed as a joyful, high-energy outing for little ones, with plenty of chances to get up, join in and move along with Emma Memma and her Memma mates.

Beloved by a generation of families as former Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins, Emma Memma has carried that same warmth, energy and inclusivity into her hugely popular next chapter. This live production builds on the playful spirit that has made Emma Memma such a hit with families, blending catchy songs with dance and storytelling in a way that feels both entertaining and welcoming. Rather than simply watching from their seats, children are encouraged to become part of the action, with the performance centred on shared play, imagination and participation.

A major part of Emma Memma’s appeal is her commitment to making sign language a natural and joyful part of the show. Every live performance includes an Auslan interpreter positioned side-of-stage, interpreting the music and storytelling throughout. Emma Memma and Elvin Melvin also sign during the performance itself, helping to weave Auslan into the heart of the experience rather than presenting it as something separate.

That accessible approach has become a defining part of the Emma Memma brand and continues in Jungle Picnic, which marks the next chapter in what is shaping up to be the brand’s biggest year yet. For families, it means a show that delivers fun and plenty of energy, but also creates a space where communication, inclusion and connection are part of the performance from beginning to end.

For parents looking for an outing that genuinely caters to younger children, this one is built with them in mind. The songs are playful, the format is engaging, and the atmosphere is designed to feel warm, active and easy for families to enjoy together. Whether it’s a first concert experience or a return visit for already devoted fans, Jungle Picnic promises plenty of movement, music and memorable moments.

Families who require seating with a clear view of the Auslan interpreter are encouraged to contact the Emma Memma team ahead of time via [email protected] so arrangements can be made for the best possible viewing experience.

With three Adelaide shows in one day and a format made for dancing, singing and joining in, Emma Memma’s Jungle Picnic looks set to bring a big burst of colour and energy to Norwood Concert Hall these school holidays.
