Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Ku Reveals Teaser Trailer and Visual, Begins in Fall

Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Ku, a new anime inspired by the Battle Spirits card game, will make its debut this fall. A teaser trailer and teaser visual for the Bakumatsu period show have been released.

Masashi Kudo (Bleach character designer) is directing the anime at BN Pictures, in addition to being its character draft designer. Toshizo Nemoto (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime: Visions of Coleus and Season 3) is the series composer.

The cast includes Taichi Kusano as Ku Bashin, a strength-seeking lad who is into Battle Spirits, and Daiki Hamano as Zetsu Ajara, a feared and mysterious ronin who is an Eternal Battler.

The Battle Spirits card game and the first anime in the multimedia franchise made their first appearance in Japan in 2008. The last anime was the web series Battle Spirits Mirage, which premiered in 2021. 2022 saw the launch of the Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers video game

Last March, it was announced that there would be a new Battle Spirits anime, and that it wouldn’t be a sequel to previous titles.
