Bathurst 2016 winners reunite with their iconic VF Commodore at the 2026 Adelaide Motorsport Festival

A decade after one of the most dramatic finishes in Bathurst 1000 history, the championship-winning trio of Will Davison, Jonathon Webb and their STIX-sponsored Holden VF Commodore will reunite at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, bringing a major slice of Australian motorsport history back into the spotlight.

The winning Tekno Autosports combination from 2016 will come together again across the February 28 and March 1 event, with the iconic VF Commodore returning to the track as part of the V8 Supercars category. Webb is set to get back behind the wheel across the weekend, giving fans a rare chance to see the Bathurst-winning machine in action once more.

Their original victory at Mount Panorama remains one of the most memorable Bathurst 1000 races of the modern era, with Davison and Webb steering the team to an emotional win that cemented its place in Supercars folklore. Nearly ten years on, the reunion offers motorsport fans a chance to reconnect with the car, the drivers and the story that defined that season.

The same STIX VF Commodore has already built a reputation beyond Bathurst, having also been driven by Formula 1 star Valtteri Bottas at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival in 2023. Its return to Adelaide in 2026 continues the festival’s tradition of showcasing significant race cars and moments from across Australian and international motorsport.

Beyond the track sessions, Davison and Webb will appear alongside the car in the Adelaide Marriott Grand Marquee, where they’ll reflect on the Bathurst triumph and share insights into the race, the team dynamics and the journey behind the win. The appearance is expected to be a major drawcard for fans keen to hear directly from the drivers behind the historic result.

The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again deliver a packed program of on-track and off-track activity. Categories will span Formula 1 machinery, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more, with continuous track action running throughout each day.

Off the circuit, the event will lean into its relaxed picnic-in-the-park atmosphere, with car displays, kids’ zones, bars, food trucks, exhibitors and interactive activations designed to appeal to both dedicated motorsport followers and casual visitors.
