Babar Azam and Pakistani Batters Moves Up in Latest ICC Test Rankings

Pakistan star batter Babar Azam has improved his position in the latest ICC Test Rankings, moving up one place to 22nd with 656 points.

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has also made a notable improvement, climbing two places to 42nd with 576 points, while several other Pakistan players saw mixed movements across batting and bowling charts.

Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel retained his position at ninth with 734 points, continuing to be Pakistan’s highest-ranked Test batter.

Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan remained 21st, while all-rounder Salman Ali Agha slipped one spot to 28th.

Opening batter Imam-ul-Haq held on to his 51st position, while Abdullah Shafique dropped one place to 57th. Kamran Ghulam stayed unchanged at 85th.

Further down the list, Aamer Jamal and Saim Ayub each rose one place to jointly occupy the 94th position with 345 points.

At the top of the batting rankings, Joe Root continues to lead, followed by Harry Brook in second. Travis Head has moved into the top three, sitting at third.

In the bowling rankings, left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi retained his 24th position. Mohammad Abbas and Sajid Khan both dropped one place to 29th and 30th, respectively. Naseem Shah stayed at 38th, while Hasan Ali climbed one place to 43rd with 480 points.

Spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped one place to 51st, Khurram Shahzad remained 70th, Aamer Jamal held 78th, and Asif Afridi dropped one spot to 96th with 224 points.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to dominate the Test bowling rankings at number one, followed by Pakistan spinner Noman Ali in second place. Australia’s Mitchell Starc dropped to third.
