Arthur Diles named March Coach of the Month

Melbourne Victory Head Coach Arthur Diles has been named Coach of the Month in the Isuzu UTE A-League for March.

The Victory boss has taken out the fifth coaching honour of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season after Newcastle Jets’ Mark Milligan scooped the award for February.

Diles guided his side to two wins and a draw during the March eligibility period as they kept themselves firmly in the race to secure a spot in the Finals Series.

Melbourne Victory currently sit fourth on the Isuzu UTE A-League ladder; five points behind second-placed Auckland FC and five points clear of Wellington Phoenix in seventh position.

Diles was nominated for the March award via Football Coaches Australia’s monthly nomination process.

Australian Professional Leagues (APL) partnered with FCA in 2022-23 to help provide the recognition required for outstanding coaching performances across both the Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League.

The FCA assembled an experienced panel that decides the monthly nominees and then subsequent winners for Coach of the Month in both leagues.

The March eligibility period included Rounds 20-22 of the Isuzu UTE A-League season, with games between March 6 to March 22 considered by the FCA Panel when voting for the Coach of the Month nominees.

Diles and his side continued chalked up consecutive 4-1 wins over both Central Coast Mariners and Macarthur Bulls whilst also playing out a thrilling 2-2 draw with rivals Sydney FC in the Big Blue.
