Ananya Panday is firmly in her rom-com era. As she’s stepping out to promote Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, the actor’s press wardrobe has been mirroring the spirit of her character. For a recent promotional outing, Panday chose a rust orange sari from House of Masaba that looks fresh and unfussy, much like the character in the movie.
Styled by Lakshmi Lehr, the sari itself does much of the storytelling. Rendered in a warm rust hue that sits comfortably between earthy and festive, it features foil print detailing running through the pleats. The pallu is crushed for texture and is punctuated with an appliqué tissue flower. Outlined with embellishments on raw silk, the floral motif introduces softness against the sari’s various textured elements. Together, the foil accents, tactile pallu and artisanal detailing create an impactful and unique look.
