Aespa & RIIZE to Perform Kill Blue TV Anime Main Theme Songs

South Korean girl group aespa and boy band RIIZE have been announced as the main theme song artists for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Kill Blue. The anime is scheduled to begin airing in Japan on April 11, 2026. 

Two short trailers were also released, announcing the titles of the main theme songs. 

Aespa will be performing the opening theme “ATTITUDE,” which is now available on music streaming platforms

Meanwhile, RIIZE will perform the ending theme “KILL SHOT.”

Hiro Kaburagi (Great Pretender) is directing the Kill Blue anime series, with Miho Daidoji (Kimi ni Todoke 3rd Season) as the character designer. CUE is in charge of the animation production. 

The anime’s previously announced voice cast stars:

  • • Fuka Izumi as Noren Mitsuoka
  • • Shuichiro Umeda as Kotatsu Nekota

  • • Atsumi Tanezaki as Chisato Shiraishi
  • • Yumi Uchiyama as Eri Wanibuchi
  • • Daisuke Sakuma as Shin Kohazame
  • • Shoya Chiba as Kazuma Rindou
  • • Yoshiki Nakajima as Eiji Rindou

The action comedy manga series by Tadatoshi Fujimaki was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from April 17, 2023 to September 1, 2025. A total of 13 tankobon volumes were released in Japan. VIZ Media licensed the manga for English release. It is also available digitally on Manga Plus.

The main synopsis of the Kill Blue anime is described as:  

A legendary assassin at 39. Starting over… as a middle schooler. 

Juzo Ogami is a legendary hitman who has never failed an assignment, no matter how  impossible. One day, after wiping out a powerful organization, he is stung by a mysterious wasp and collapses. When he wakes up, the fearsome 39-year-old assassin has been transformed into a 13-year-old boy! Before he can even process what happened, his boss delivers a new order: “In that body, infiltrate a middle school.” What awaits him is an unexpected school life filled with colorful classmates, youthful chaos, and looming danger. Can Juzo ever return to his original form? Or will the assassins closing in on him end his second life before it even begins!?
