Adelaide weather forecast for Wednesday December 10th and the days ahead

Over the next few days, Adelaide will see a combination of warmth and sunshine with minor variability in cloud cover, according to the Bureau of Meteorology’s latest forecast.

Today, the city can expect a maximum of 29 degrees under partly cloudy skies. A slight chance of morning showers may occur, with winds predominantly from the southeast. This will provide some relief from the mild early morning temperatures.

Tomorrow the weather is set to be clear and sunny with a high of 32 degrees. Although the morning will start bright, there is a small chance of afternoon thunderstorms affecting the northern suburbs. These conditions are driven by easterly to southeasterly winds.

Friday will see temperatures peaking at 34 degrees under mostly sunny skies, providing a warm end to the working week. Winds will shift from easterly in the morning to northwesterly, then to a southeast to southwesterly direction in the afternoon. These shifting winds are indicative of the changing weather systems currently influencing South Australia.

The Bureau of Meteorology has also issued weather warnings for several regions. A heatwave warning is in effect from Tuesday, December 9th to Friday, December 12th for the North West and North East Pastoral Districts. Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions against severe heat conditions.

Additionally, there are strong wind warnings for the Far West Coast, Upper West Coast, and Lower West Coast for Wednesday. These conditions are expected to influence coastal activities, and mariners should exercise caution.

Looking beyond Adelaide, South Australia’s weather is influenced by a ridge of high pressure extending from a high-pressure system over the Bight. The state’s northeast will experience raised dust conditions and isolated thunderstorms due to a low-pressure trough.

As the weekend approaches, another ridge of high pressure will stabilise conditions, but not before isolated showers and thunderstorms impact the eastern and pastoral districts on Saturday. Temperatures are expected to be near average across these regions.

Happy Wednesday!
