Adelaide weather forecast for Sunday February 1st and the days ahead

Adelaide is heading into a calmer but still summery stretch of weather, with cooler relief on Sunday before temperatures gradually climb again through the working week. After a breezy and partly cloudy finish to Saturday, Sunday brings a noticeable dip, with a top of 25°C and persistent southerly winds keeping conditions mild across the metro area. Cloud will linger, but rain chances remain low, making it a more comfortable day after recent heat.

Monday signals the start of a steady warm-up, with sunny skies and a top of 29°C. Southeasterly winds will be fresh at times, and UV levels remain extreme, so sun protection will be essential for anyone outdoors for extended periods. By Tuesday, summer well and truly reasserts itself, with clear skies and temperatures climbing to 32°C, followed by another run of warm, settled days.

Wednesday and Thursday continue the pattern, with sunny to mostly sunny conditions and daytime highs hovering around the low 30s. Overnight temperatures remain mild, keeping mornings pleasant before the heat builds again. Friday rounds out the week with more sunshine and a forecast top of 31°C, reinforcing a dry, stable weather pattern across the city.

Across South Australia, conditions are more varied and come with several important safety considerations. While much of the state is seeing a gradual easing of severe heatwave conditions, fire danger remains elevated in the north and northeast. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible in northern and pastoral districts early in the period, contracting northeastwards and clearing, with dry conditions becoming more widespread as high pressure settles in. Winds remain moderate to fresh at times, particularly along the coast, and areas of raised dust are possible inland.

Warnings are in place and should be taken seriously, particularly for those travelling or working outdoors.
