Adelaide weather forecast for Saturday February 7th and the days ahead

Over the weekend, Adelaide will see several warm and sunny days ahead before a noticeable cool change arrives later in the week, while parts of northern South Australia continue to experience unsettled and potentially severe conditions.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, today the city will stay sunny, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees. Winds will shift from easterly to southeasterly through the morning, freshening along the coast. Fire danger remains high in the Mount Lofty Ranges and moderate for the Adelaide Metropolitan area, with UV levels rated extreme, making sun protection essential throughout the day.

Tomorrow will see a minimum of 19 degrees and a maximum of 33 degrees. Light to moderate southeasterly winds will provide some relief, particularly along the coast. Conditions remain settled on Monday, with sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures, peaking at 31 degrees.

Tuesday will see mostly sunny conditions and a maximum of 35 degrees following a mild overnight minimum. From midweek, the pattern begins to shift. Wednesday is forecast to be warmer overnight, with a minimum of 24 degrees and a top of 32 degrees, alongside the chance of a shower or two. A more pronounced change arrives on Thursday, with cloudy conditions and a significantly cooler maximum of 24 degrees. By Friday, skies are expected to clear again, with mostly sunny conditions and a comfortable top of 26 degrees.

While Adelaide enjoys mostly stable conditions, a trough affecting northern parts of the state is bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to the pastoral and Flinders districts, with storms potentially severe and capable of producing heavy rainfall. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible across the Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Mid North and Riverland over the weekend, before contracting northwards early next week. Forecast rainfall totals by Tuesday include widespread falls of 25 to 50 millimetres across northern pastoral areas, with isolated totals of 100 millimetres or more possible in the North East Pastoral district. Southern coastal areas are expected to see little rainfall.

Residents are advised to remain alert to changing conditions, particularly in northern and inland districts where storms and heavy rainfall may impact travel and local conditions. The latest forecasts, warnings and updates are available from the Bureau of Meteorology.

Enjoy the weekend!
