Looking for Christmas lights? We’ve been keeping an eye out for some of the very best around the state!

Whether it’s nostalgic warm lights framing windows, colourful displays synced to music, or inflatable Santas and reindeer in the front garden, there really are displays that are sure to dazzle and impress any passerby.

This year, Mix 102.3 has once again organised their annual Christmas Lights competition. With entrants from all corners of the city participating in the festive showcase, the popular radio station have recently chosen their overall winner, with a lucky entrant from Aberfoyle Park taking home the $2k Grand Prize.

This extravagantly decorated house in Aberfoyle Park was voted by the public as the winner of Mix 102.3’s $2k Grand Prize for the best Christmas lights display, and it’s clear to see why.

Adelaide’s epicentre for Christmas spirit will make a return this December, with hundreds of houses dressed in lights as the town comes alive from December 12th to the 23rd. The season kicks off with an opening festival of all things live music, street eats, markets, carols and even a living nativity.

Ninth Avenue, St Peters

Quickly becoming synonymous with Christmas lights is Ninth Avenue in St Peters. This stretch has gained significant traction as a top light display each December, with nearly every home choosing to take part in the festivities. It is a family-friendly display best seen on foot.

Riverbank Christmas Lights Display

The Riverbank Christmas Lights Display has transformed the banks of the River Torrens into a dazzling spectacle of colour and nostalgia, lighting up nightly until Friday, January 2nd. Stretching along Adam Street Reserve at the corner of Port Road and Adam Street, Southwark (formerly part of Thebarton), the beloved lights, once famously known as the West End Brewery Christmas Lights, remain one of South Australia’s most cherished festive traditions, attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year.

And who could forget the incredible illuminated Christmas tree in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga? Right at the heart of our twinkling city, the giant tree is utterly unmissable, offering a beautiful sight from all corners of Victoria Square.
