Adam Ramsay-Peaty’s estranged relatives have allegedly abandoned any hope of repairing their fractured relationship with the Olympic champion, following a fresh social media intervention by Gordon Ramsay.
The celebrity chef sparked renewed controversy after signing off as “dad” while responding online to footage of Adam’s wedding speech, in which the 31-year-old swimmer declared he would “always choose” his bride, Holly Ramsay.
A source close to the Peaty family told The Sun that the gesture had effectively extinguished any remaining hopes of reconciliation.
The source said: “It’s been a really emotional time for them as a family.

“They’re coming to terms with what has happened and that Adam has picked his side.”
The insider added that the latest development had “dashed any hope of reconciliation in the near future”, with the family now attempting to move forward quietly.
“It’s clear Adam’s made his choice,” the source added.

His mother, Caroline Peaty, and father, Mark Peaty, were reportedly uninvited from the wedding, leaving his sister, Bethany Peaty, as the sole representative from his side of the family.
Bethany served as a bridesmaid alongside Holly’s sisters, Megan Ramsay and Tilly Ramsay.
The guest list included Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria Beckham, close friends of the Ramsay family, while Gordon walked his daughter down the aisle.
Speaking from the Staffordshire council house where her son was raised, Caroline told The Mail on Sunday: “I’m not going to be hurt like this again.”

She had previously told the Daily Mail that she felt the couple “have cut my heart out”.
Particular distress has reportedly been caused by Gordon’s father-of-the-bride speech.
According to the outlet, the chef praised his daughter’s appearance and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”
The publication also claimed Gordon made a pointed reference to Adam’s absent relatives, telling Holly: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

A family source told the Daily Mail that Caroline was left horrified by the remark, believing it had been “pre-planned” and describing it as “cruel” and “very hurtful”.
Gordon later defended the speech during an appearance on This Morning, insisting it had been “perfect” and “warm”, while acknowledging the emotional complexity of the situation.
The roots of the dispute reportedly date back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly excluded wider members of the Peaty family from their engagement celebration.
Caroline was also absent from Holly’s hen party at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, despite Tana Ramsay and Lady Victoria Beckham attending.

Adam’s brother, James Peaty, was initially named as a groomsman but was later uninvited alongside their parents.
Reports suggest Holy contacted police after James allegedly sent threatening messages while Adam was on his stag do in Budapest, with Adam believing his parents had sided with his brother.
Ahead of the wedding, Caroline told the Mail: “This is the first Christmas that I’ve not had my family together. My family is broken.”
The ceremony will feature in Adam’s forthcoming Netflix documentary series, which has followed his life for more than a year.
While cameras captured the Bath Abbey wedding, the absence of the swimmer’s family members is expected to be conspicuous.
Sources claim the Peaty family have asked Netflix to exclude them from the programme entirely.
“The cameras were there and part of the day was filmed,” one source said. “It will be very obvious which family members aren’t there.”
Adam has previously appealed for understanding, saying: “We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story.”
