The Precure franchise has revealed a key visual and trailer for their latest installment, Star Detective Precure! (Meitantei Precure). The series will premiere in Japan on February 1 JST, a week after the final episode of You and I Precure♪(Kimi to Idol Precure♪), which will air on January 25 JST.
The visual features the main Precure of the series, Cure Answer, Cure Mystic, Cure Eclair, and Cure Arcane Black, along with four fairies.

Furthermore, the cast has also been revealed. The cast are:
- • Hikari Senga as the main lead cure, Anna Akechi/Cure Answer.
- • Kaede Hondo as Mikuru Kobayashi/Cure Mystic.
- • Nao Toyama as Ruruka Moria/Cure Arcane Black.
- • Yuki Kaji as Jett-senpai, a fairy and self-proclaimed genius scientist.
- • Katou Emiri as Pochitan, Cure Answer and Cure Mystic’s fairy partner.
- • Hina Yoimiya as Mashutan, Cure Arcane Black’s fairy partner.
The voices for Cure Eclair and her fairy partner, Shushutan, will be announced in the upcoming days.
The opening theme song, “Hint In Our Hearts! Star Detective Precure!” will be sung by Amii Ishii, while the ending theme song, “Why? Mystery?! ANSWER”will be sung by Akane Kumada and Yuka Masui.
Kouji Kawasaki is directing the series. Isao Murayama is in charge of the series composition, with Akane Yano as the character designer. Toei Animation is animating the series.
Star Detective Precure! (Meitantei Precure) is the 23rd installment of the Precure TV anime series, succeeding You and I Precure♪(Kimi to Idol Precure♪). It was announced by Toei Animation in November 2025.
Star Detective Precure! (Meitantei Precure) is themed around detectives and follows a 14-year-old girl named Anna Akechi living in a city called Makoto Mirai City. On her birthday, a fairy appeared with a pendant that forced Anna to travel back in time from 2027 to 1999, where she meets Mikuru Kobayashi, who dreams of becoming a star detective. Together, they transform into the Star Detective Precure! to stop the Phantom Thieves.
Toei Animation’s Precure franchise is the longest-running magical girl franchise that began in February 2004 with Pretty Cure (Futari wa Precure). Since the first anime series, the studio has produced 22 anime series, including You and I Precure♪(Kimi to Idol Precure♪).
