Holiday parties may be slowing down, but beauty clearly is not. From Sara Ali Khan to Shanaya Kapoor, these looks double as a masterclass in where to dial things up, what to keep minimal and how to let one feature lead without the rest of your face competing.

Between late-night sangeets, award show carpets and after-parties, this week’s faces had one message: high impact without feeling high effort. Skin tints and sheer bases kept complexions looking like skin, while carefully placed highlighter and blush did the heavy lifting. Eyes swung between razor-thin liner and full, smoked-out drama with lashes doing most of the talking. Lips stayed in the nude-to-brown family with the occasional classic red, proving you don’t need experimental colours to look current, just smart textures and placement.

In Shanaya Kapoor’s look this week, skin was left super natural, most likely achieved with a skin tint. Highlighter was concentrated from the inner cheeks to cheekbones for that lit-from-within effect. Eyes were framed with a clean, razor-thin elongated liner that sharpens the gaze and a light brown kohl was used on the lower lid. Brows are brushed up and sun-kissed blush adds a flush of colour to the look. A glossy nude lip keeps things elegant.

Y2K edge played the protagonist in Rhea Raj’s look, featuring an extended winged liner, paired with voluminous lashes for added drama. Her skin was bronzed and contoured. Brows were thinned out and a deep brown, precisely defined lip kept the mood sultry and confident. A top knot perfectly complimented the look.

Neha Dhupia’s smoky eye in deep charcoal and black was the star of the look, diffused just enough to look well-placed but not subtle. Her skin had a perfect matte finish and no other distracting elements, allowing the eyes and statement jewellery to dominate. The lips stayed understated as well, with a beautiful muted nude.

Pearlescent lids and high-shine pink lips defined Sara Ali Khan’s look. Skin looked well hydrated and gently reflective. Eyes are kept fiercely feminine, using kohl and sharp liner, champagne and pearly glitter tones and finely separated lashes. Brows are full and natural, framing the face without stealing attention.

Janhvi Kapoor’s eyes were defined with soft matte browns, but fluttery lashes stole the show. Skin was satin-matte and perfectly even, letting the bold crimson lip (the focus of the look) and cheongsam-inspired outfit shine.

Velvety, perfected skin set a strong base, warmed slightly along the cheekbones and temples in the former Miss World’s look this week. Her eyes were the centre of attention, defined with classic brown shadows and a subtle shimmer and tightlined. Long lashes added a slight intensity and er brows mirrored the sharp tailoring of her outfit. Her mocha mousse lips softened the overall effect of the look, tying it all together.
