Cement despatches recorded marginal growth of 1.47 percent in December 2025. Total cement despatches during December 2025 stood at 4.347 million tons, compared with 4.284 million tons despatched during the same month of the last fiscal year.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, local cement despatches by the industry during December 2025 amounted to 3.725 million tons, compared with 3.5 million tons in December 2024, reflecting an increase of 6.42 percent.
However, export despatches continued their downward trend and declined by 20.66 percent during December 2025. Volumes fell from 783,550 tons in December 2024 to 621,685 tons in December 2025.
In December 2025, north-based cement mills despatched 3.153 million tons of cement, registering an increase of 5.56 percent compared with 2.987 million tons despatched in December 2024. South-based mills despatched 1.19 million tons of cement during December 2025, which was 7.94 percent lower than the 1.29 million tons despatched in December 2024.
North-based cement mills despatched 3.153 million tons of cement in domestic markets during December 2025, showing an increase of 9.75 percent compared with 2.873 million tons despatched in December 2024. South-based mills despatched 572,263 tons of cement in local markets during December 2025, which was 8.81 percent lower than the 627,519 tons despatched in December 2024.
Exports from the south declined by 7.14 percent to 621,685 tons in December 2025, from 669,461 tons during the same month last year. There were no exports from north-based mills during December 2025.
During the first six months of the current fiscal year, total cement despatches, including domestic sales and exports, reached 25.783 million tons, representing an increase of 9.67 percent compared with 23.510 million tons despatched during the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
Domestic despatches during this period totaled 21.152 million tons, up from 18.7 million tons in the same period last year, showing growth of 13.11 percent.
Export despatches declined by 3.73 percent, with volumes falling to 4.631 million tons during the first six months of the current fiscal year, compared with 4.81 million tons in the same period last year.
North-based mills despatched 17.915 million tons of cement domestically during the first six months of the current fiscal year, an increase of 14.67 percent compared with 15.623 million tons despatched during July to December 2024. Exports from the north declined by 18.53 percent to 808,506 tons during July to December 2025, compared with 992,413 tons exported during the same period last year. Total despatches by north-based mills increased by 12.68 percent to 18.723 million tons during the first six months of the current fiscal year, from 16.616 million tons in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
Domestic despatches by south-based mills during July to December 2025 amounted to 3.237 million tons, showing an increase of 5.22 percent over 3.077 million tons despatched during the same period of the last fiscal year.
Exports from the south remained nearly flat at 3.822 million tons during July to December 2025, compared with 3.818 million tons exported during the same period last year. Total despatches by south-based mills increased by 2.39 percent to 7.059 million tons during the first six months of the current fiscal year, from 6.894 million tons in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
