Raja Matloob was a renowned Pakistani digital media personality, widely known for his video reports for Daily Pakistan. Raja Matloob passed away in a tragic car accident that occurred in Islamabad in December while he was on his way to attend his friend Adnan Faisal’s birthday. Adnan Faisal is also a well-known digital creator, famous for his viral podcasts with FHM Pakistan. A video of Raja Matloob’s accident in G-11, Islamabad, circulated on social media, which clearly showed him driving at high speed in an attempt to reach his friend’s birthday on time.
Today, Adnan Faisal opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his friend. He became emotional while recalling how Raja lost his life while coming to celebrate his birthday.
Talking about it in detail, Adnan Faisal said, “This year will be very difficult for me as I have lost one of my dearest friends, Raja Matloob. There will be success and achievements, but Raja Matloob will not be with us. You must have seen a video of an accident circulating on social media — that was my friend Raja Matloob, who was coming to my birthday. I had called him and said, ‘Where are you? It’s my birthday in Islamabad, and you have to be here.’ He replied that he was in Quetta and might not be able to make it. But he was such a friend that he wanted to ensure he reached my birthday. He took a private jet, landed in Lahore, and then headed to Islamabad at a very fast pace via the motorway. He kept calling and saying that he would reach soon. At 10:10, he called and said, ‘I’m in Islamabad.’ Meanwhile, I heard the sound of a crash on the same call. A man picked up his phone and asked me to come to the accident site, saying that the friend I had called was dead. When I reached there, he was covered in blood. I held him as he took his last breaths in my hands. I asked the man if he was alive, and he told me that he had died on the spot. Some people leave this world, but the grief never leaves.
