Recently, Atiqa Odho gave an interview to The Current PK. In the interview she talked about Bollywood’s hostile attitude towards Pakistani artists.

Talking about it, Atiqa Odho said, “I have to be very honest; I am divided on such issues. On one hand, I say art has no boundaries, but on the other hand, I think self-respect is important for anybody. We have tried a lot for years to mend ways with India as artists and filmmakers. We released their films, and we called their actors here in Pakistan. Our dramas have a fan following there as well, but unfortunately politics plays dirty games. Now they keep on bashing us, making content on us, and abusing us. It’s enough. There should be a reciprocal cultural exchange; otherwise no. They didn’t release our films because of politics. The Legend of Maula Jatt did superb internationally but they didn’t release it in India. We have banned their films because of their attitude. It’s not that we hate them.
