Strikers BBL | 6, 11, 17 January

Strikers BBL

Celebrate the Adelaide Strikers at their three Adelaide Oval matches in January. On the 6th the Strikers face the Sydney Thunder, on the 11th they take on the Perth Scorchers, and then on the 17th they take on the Melbourne Renegades.

36° South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup | 16 January

Fine wine, fabulous frocks and the ultimate trackside experience! If that sounds like your ideal summer day, then you’re in luck as all that and more will take centre stage at the 44th annual 36° South Coonawarra Vignerons Cup, when it returns to the Penola Racecourse on Friday, January 16th. This season’s event is once again shaping up as one of the region’s most anticipated dates, bringing a mix of Coonawarra’s world-class wine credentials with the excitement of race day.

Tunarama | 16 – 18 January

A Port Lincoln summer favourite is swimming back into town this January, as, after a two-year hiatus, the Bendigo Bank Tunarama Festival is officially returning from the 16th to the 18th. And it all comes with good news as the first look at the comeback program confirms what locals have been waiting to hear, Tunarama is back and better than ever.

Santos Tour Down Under 2024 | 16 – 25 January

The Santos Tour Down Under is the first event of the UCI World Tour and starts the international pro cycling calendar in the heart of Australia’s summer.

There’s so much to do in Adelaide to celebrate including heading to the official City of Adelaide Tour Village which will feature panel discussions with riders and experts, the race live-streamed on the big screen, and a space for fans to cool off in the ‘recovery zone’, featuring ice baths, physio and localised cryotherapy. There will also be street parties, regional events, family-friendly events and more.

SummerVines 2025 | 16 – 26 January

McLaren Vale, the picturesque coastal wine region known for its lush vineyards cascading toward the breathtaking Gulf of St Vincent coast, is hosting the highly anticipated SummerVines 2026 food and wine festival.

REUNION Festival | 17 January

After a 2025 event that surpassed expectations, the Reunion Festival is back at Morephetteville Racecourse in 2026! With all your favourite local artists celebrating the biggest club nights and events in Adelaide’s history, these local talents will be dropping anthems from iconic venues, club nights and events. This year will see HMC and DJ Groove Terminator headline.

Riding Out the Bloom Concert | 17 January

That’s right, little darling. Daryl Braithwaite is about to belt out “We’ll be riding on the horses, yeah yeah” under the stars in Goolwa this January for Riding Out the Bloom, a celebration of community, resilience, and local spirit.

Gates open at 4pm, with support acts Old Town Road Dance Party (DJ Set) and Taylor Sheridan getting the crowd in the mood before Daryl takes the stage for what’s sure to be an unforgettable performance.

Semaphore Greek Festival | 18 – 19 January

The Semaphore Greek Festival is gearing up for its 45th annual celebration, which will be a weekend filled with Greek culture that brings all the flavours, sounds, and sights of Greece to the shores of Semaphore.

As one of Australia’s premier Greek cultural festivals, this event has grown to become one of the largest of its kind in the country. The festivities will unfold on the Semaphore foreshore, with Semaphore rides and Semaphore Road cafes just a leisurely stroll away, and with free admission, the Semaphore Greek Festival invites you to gather all your friends and family for a fun weekend out.

OC Sound Fest

OC Sound Fest is a one-day festival making its debut this January long weekend. This festival will be taking over the iconic Overland Corner Hotel, just a short drive from Barmera in South Australia’s Riverland. This is your excuse to pack your camping gear, hit the road, and spend the day (and night) enjoying a huge lineup of live music in one of the state’s most stunning settings.
