Quakers Hill: Woman found dead in home, man dies after being found on footpath after alleged stabbing

A man has been arrested after police discovered the body of a woman inside a Sydney home and located another man on a footpath with stab wounds.

NSW Police were called to a home on Illabo Street in Quakers Hill around 5am on Sunday morning following reports of a disturbance.

On arrival, emergency services found the body of a woman in her 30s inside the home and located a critically injured man, also in his 30s, with stab wounds on the footpath.

NSW Ambulance paramedics provided care for the man with stab wounds, taking him to Liverpool Hospital, however, after 9am, NSW Police confirmed he was now dead.

Shortly after emergency services arrived at the property, a 47-year-old man attended Blacktown Police Station, where he was arrested on the spot.

The man and the woman are yet to be formally identified.

“A crime scene has been established, and detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident under Strike Force Acoma,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
