Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers Highlights Ending Theme Song in Latest Trailer, Adds 5 New Cast

Five more cast members and a new trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers TV anime series, which highlights the main ending theme song. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on January 6, 2026 and will air in two split cours.

The latest trailer highlights the anime’s ending theme “POWER” by Japanese boy group ONE OR EIGHT.

Meanwhile, the newest cast additions will play five members of the demon Ramaga’s Ten Braves group, which include:

  • • Chiharu Sawashiro as Anayama 
  • • Ryota Takeuchi as Unno 
  • • Daichi Endo as Kakei 
  • • Toshiki Kumagai as Mochizuki 

They join a previously announced voice cast that stars:

  • • Junya Enoki as Kaito Uesugi
  • • Ayumu Murase as Hojo Musashi
  • • Shunsuke Takeuchi as Yamato Hojo
  • • Kentaro Kumagai as Shion

  • • Toshiki Masuda as Ryusei Oda
  • • Katsuyuki Konishi as Ramaga
  • • Takuya Sato as Sasuke
  • • Kosuke Toriumi as Saizo
  • • Takuma Terashima as Kamanosuke
  • • Tomokazu Sugita as Seikai Nyudo
  • • Kohei Amasaki as Isa Nyudo

Yoichi Fujita (Osomatsu-san Season 1-2, Good Luck Girl) is directing the anime series, with Shogo Muto (Thermae Romae live-action movie and Build NEW WORLD: Kamen Rider Grease screenwriter) as series composer and screenwriter, Yuhei Murota (Love Live! co-character designer, Love Live! Sunshine! character designer) as main character designer, Tsukasa Kotobuki (Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin co-character designer) as villain character designer, Hideo Okamoto (Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers yoroi designer) as Yoroi gear draft designer, Takuya Suzuki (Valvrave the Liberator mechanical animation designer) as animation yoroi gear designer, and Hiroyuki Nishimura as main animator. Sunrise is in charge of the animation production. 

Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers is a sequel to the 1980s Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers anime series (also known as Ronin Warriors in English). The main premise follows five young samurai warriors that come together to save humanity after the seal to the demon world was broken. 

The original Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers was created by Hajime Yatate and animated by Sunrise. It ran from 1988 to 1999 and inspired three OVA series and a manga adaptation. Discotek Media licensed the anime series for a physical Blu-ray release.

Amazon Prime Video is streaming the original series, along with Crunchyroll, RetroCrush, and Tubi. It describes the 1988 series as:

After a thousand years of exile, Talpa, ruler of the Netherworld, returns to claim the Earth as his own. The only thing that can stop him and his minions are five young men and their mystical suits of armor.
