DYFI to hold protest against train fare hike

Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) State secretary V.K. Sanoj said that the organisation would stage protests in front of railway stations in the State on Wednesday (December 24) against the railway fare hike.

Mr. Sanoj alleged that the railways were “robbing” passengers by raising ticket prices and committing big frauds, including premium tatkal fares, special fares on special trains, and high cancellation fees charged on passengers on waiting lists.

He also demanded that the railways withdraw the “unscientific revenue-generating methods”.
