A beloved former radio sports host has been identified as the cyclist killed by a driver for whom police are still searching.

Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition where he died later that day.
Parkes most recently worked at a Mosman school but was honoured by devastated colleagues at radio station CoastFM.
“Craig was passionate about health and fitness on and off the radio,” station general manager Sarah Warry said.

“He was always ready with a laugh and a helping hand for anyone who needed it.”
A manhunt is still underway for the driver of a red MG SUV believed to have struck Parkes after it was discovered at a car park in nearby Dee Why.
The car was seen being loaded onto a tow truck with a smashed front windscreen and a crumpled bumper.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
