Faysal Quraishi Calls Out Kya Drama Hai Judges for Ruining Dramas

Faysal Quraishi is a renowned Pakistani actor, praised for his versatility and perfection. His notable dramas include Boota from Toba Tek Singh, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Haiwan, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Bashar Momin, Muqaddar, Hook, Farq, and Fitoor. He is currently being lauded for his intense and unsettling portrayal of Kamran, a rapist, in the hit Geo TV drama serial Case No. 9. His chilling performance has sparked strong reactions and showcased his exceptional range as an actor.

Recently, Faysal Quraishi appeared on Green Entertainment’s podcast The Green Room, hosted by Ahmed Randhawa. During the podcast, he discussed how Pakistani dramas are praised globally but face humiliation from senior actors within the industry.

Speaking on the topic, Faysal Quraishi said, “Pakistani drama viewers abroad take pride in our dramas. I met a Nepali abroad, he was praising Case No. 9. I asked how come he was watching it, and he said we do watch Pakistani dramas and your drama is super enjoyable. People from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey praise our dramas, but here, our actors are just ruining them. Yes, creative criticism is good; it enhances our craft, but imagine an actress saying in the show that Shahzeb Khanzada did nothing but write the dialogues. A man has sacrificed his health for this drama—I am an eyewitness—and you are targeting him. Wajahat used to suggest a situation, and Shahzeb used to work on it, he has delivered the work overnight. He would revise drafts within a day, and yet you are targeting the writer and saying the director was just on his phone and the AD was directing. They should be careful.” Here is the link to the video:

Faysal Quraishi further added, “Nowadays, a producer is trying to get my approval for a drama serial, but I am not going to say yes without reading the script. People now have their eyes on our dramas constantly. Nowadays, they don’t even let the episode air and tear it apart in the first promo, it’s good there should be accountability” Here is the link to the video:
