The Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo manga, which ran from 1976 to 2016 in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, is getting a new anime project. Gallop is producing the show.

A Kairosoft-developed city-building game was also announced for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, iOS, and Android. It will support English and Traditional Chinese.
The gag manga follows policeman Kankichi Ryoutsu, who likes making money. A previous anime adaptation premiered in 1996 and had 344 episodes plus more than 20 TV specials.
