A Norwood dad is preparing to enter the property market after a surprise $100,000 win in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw, turning an ordinary travel day into a life-changing moment just days before Christmas.
The Adelaide resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11052, drawn on Thursday 18 December 2025. Completely unaware of his good fortune, the winner initially missed several calls from lottery officials while travelling.
After a long day of flying, the reality of the win finally landed when he checked his phone and noticed multiple missed calls from The Lott.
“Oh wow! Thank you so much,” he said.
“I’ve been busy flying all day and only just noticed your missed calls. I just got off a flight to Melbourne! I’m going to see my family for Christmas.”
The timing could not have been better. The winner said he was looking forward to sharing the news with his wife, who had been sceptical of his lottery ticket habit.
“I can’t wait to share the news with my wife. I don’t think she’s going to believe me!” he said.
“I told her I’ve been buying lottery tickets, and she would just laugh at me, but now I think she might scream with excitement.”
With $100,000 set to land in his bank account, the Norwood dad said the prize would finally make home ownership possible for his family.
“I’ll be able to buy a house for my family!” he cheered.
“What a perfect little surprise before Christmas.”
The winning entry was a four-number random selection purchased through The Lott app, the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
While this winner celebrates his milestone moment, the next Lucky Lotteries prizes are already climbing. The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot now stands at $19.12 million for draw 1745, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot has grown to $2.19 million for draw 11053.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, meaning each ticket number is unique and prizes are not shared. Each game features two draws: one to determine the winning numbers and another to determine the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches a winning number, the jackpot is won. If not, it rolls over to the next draw.
In the 2024–25 financial year, 182 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia shared more than $20.5 million. More broadly, The Lott delivered more than $4.1 billion in prize money to over 123.8 million winners across its games, while contributing more than $1.66 billion through state lottery taxes and donations to community initiatives including hospitals, health research, disaster relief, and education.
