Samsung’s next-generation foldable flagship is starting to take shape. A new leak has revealed early camera details for the Galaxy Z Fold8, which is expected to launch next summer.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Camera Details Surface
According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold8 will retain the same 200MP main camera used on the Galaxy Z Fold7. While the primary sensor remains unchanged, Samsung is reportedly upgrading the rest of the rear camera system.
The telephoto camera is said to move to a 12MP sensor with 3x optical zoom. This would be an improvement over the 10MP telephoto camera used on the Galaxy Z Fold7.
The ultrawide camera is also expected to see a significant upgrade. Samsung is reportedly borrowing a 50MP ultrawide sensor from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, replacing the 12MP ultrawide camera found on the current Fold7.
Selfie Camera
Despite the rear camera upgrades, both selfie cameras are expected to remain unchanged. The Galaxy Z Fold8 is said to keep 10MP sensors for both the outer display camera and the under-display camera on the inner screen.
No other specifications were revealed in this leak. Samsung has not confirmed any details about the Galaxy Z Fold8, and additional information is expected to surface closer to its launch window.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is expected to arrive next summer, following Samsung’s usual release cycle for its foldable lineup.
