LA28 Olympic tickets will be available to fans through a random ticket draw starting January 14, organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games announced on Monday.
Organizers said at least one million tickets will be priced at $28 and will be available across all Olympic sports.
Fans can register through the official LA28 ticketing website to enter the draw. Those selected will receive a time slot in April to purchase tickets, while fans who are not chosen will automatically be included in future ticket sales.
LA28 officials said the aim is to keep the Games affordable and accessible for as many people as possible. Senior vice president Allison Katz-Mayfield said the $28 tickets will be offered in meaningful numbers across venues, not just in limited or poor-view sections. She added that around one-third of all tickets will be priced below $100.
The announcement comes as fans continue to raise concerns about rising ticket prices for major sporting events, including the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Registration will remain open until March 18, and organizers stressed that registering early does not increase the chances of being selected. No payment or ticket purchase is required to sign up.
Officials said the draw system is designed to give everyone a fair chance while preventing bots and ticket resellers from dominating sales.
Local residents living near Olympic venues will also have access to a special presale before tickets go on sale to the general public.
All tickets will be sold digitally through official providers AXS and Eventim. Tickets for the Paralympic Games will go on sale separately in 2027.
