Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria is open for business again!

And it seems audiences were waiting with an insatiable appetite, as Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 scored huge at the box-office.

Domestically, Emma Tammi’s sequel was initially projected to debut to a rather reserved $35 million. Sources report that the rather meagre estimates were because Blumhouse hasn’t had a very profitable 2025 run.

However, much like its predecessor, FNaF 2 out-performed expectations, debuting to a domestic total of $64 million. Although this is less than the 2023 original’s $80 million debut, it’s still mighty impressive for a sequel.

Internationally, FNaF 2 saw similar success, garnering $47 million from numerous markets.

This puts the final weekend tally for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 at an impressive $111 million worldwide.

On an estimated production budget of $35 million, the opening weekend tally puts the film in good standing to make a tidy profit for all involved.

Much like the original, the sequel met with critical scorn, scoring a grim 15% from 93 critical reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. However, audience ratings have the sequel sitting at a much healthier 87%, one point more than the 2023 original.

So, becoming a much-needed lifeline for Blumhouse Productions, it seems like Freddy Fazbear and his pals will be back to terrorise audiences for years to come… We say this, as we’re hearing that Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 has been fast-tracked, with production expected to begin early next year.

Stay tuned for further horror-related box-office news as it comes in!
