A man allegedly eloped with his younger sister-in-law in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district, prompting a police investigation.
According to the complaint filed by the woman’s father, his elder daughter had registered a court marriage with the man about two years ago. The complainant alleged that his son-in-law frequently visited their home.
The father told the police that he had gone out for work, and during his absence, the son-in-law allegedly lured and fled with his younger daughter. When he returned home, he found his daughter missing. Despite searching for her, the family could not trace her whereabouts, following which a complaint was lodged with the police.
Confirming the development, Saini Station House Officer Dharmendra Singh said that a complaint has been received alleging that a man has absconded with his sister-in-law. “Based on the complaint, the matter is being investigated and necessary action will be taken,” he said.
