Kurnool Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Koya Praveen and District Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Patil on Thursday inaugurated Rakshak fuel station at Adoni.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Praveen said the HPCL fuel station was opened to provide quality and unadulterated fuel to the consumers. The profit generated from the fuel station would be given to the Police Welfare Fund, he added.
The DIG said HPCL and Police department had collaborated to open such fuel stations and the first one was opened in the 6th Batallion in DGP office at Mangalagiri in combined Andhra Pradesh. Such fuel stations were already operational in Kakinada, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and other places.
Meanwhile, SP Vikrant Patil conducted the annual inspection of Adoni I Town police station after the inauguration of the fuel station. He went through pending cases, investigation of cases and other records. The SP asked the police personnel to focus on drunken driving and drinking in public places, and take special interest in solving property offences and recovery of stolen property.
Mr. Vikrant Patil asked the police officials to increase visible policing and create awareness about cybercrimes and crimes against women.
