Fred again.. kicked off his buzzy 10 shows in 10 weeks in 10 cities run in October, a peripatetic endeavor happening as part of the release of his USB002 project.
The English producer is releasing one song from USB002 in tandem with each week’s show, with UBS002 itself being an an evolution of USB001, which collected Fred hits including “Jungle,” “Baby Again” with Skrillex and Four Tet, “Lights Out” with Romy and Haai, “Rumble” with Skrillex and “Turn On The Lights Again..” with Swedish House Mafia and Future.
USB002 thus far promises to be as star-studded, with the first song of the project being a collab with Aussie rock band Amyl and the Sniffers and additional releases featuring Danny Brown, Beam and Skin On Skin. (The Amyl and the Sniffers release, “you’re a star,” this week debuted on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at No. 7.)
Meanwhile, the show’s special guests have been equally high caliber, with the first three performances welcoming fellow producers including Haai, Yousuke Yukimatsu, a trio of local Belgian producers and Spanish artists Drea and Toccororo.
If you’re not seeing much internet footage from these performances it’s because this run of shows is effectively phone-free, with fans in each city having a sticker put over their phone cameras upon arrival to maximize presence and participation. For production, the run features an installation by Dutch artist and composer Boris Acket, who contributed one of his billowing, parachute type works to the shows.

As Fred had revealed days prior, the second 10/10/10 tour stop happened at Gare Maritime in Brussels, Belgium on Friday, Oct. 10. The show happened in tandem with the producer’s second release from USB002, “OGdub.”
The track is a collaboration with frequent collaborators Parisi, along with Beam and hip-hop favorite Danny Brown, with Fred writing on Instagram that that “I’ve been listening to danny brown for yearssss, since i was 16 i reckon?! i remember when he first came out wit the hybrid and being like wait this feels enitrely [sic] new to me. this samples his song burfict wit jpegmafia which is an absolutely wild slice of audio. its like a horn fugue that then goes into a punk band that then drops unreasonably hard and jus keeepsss going.”
With Fred welcoming special guests for each of the 10/10/10 shows, the night featured support from local artists Kōma, Lauravioli, DC Noises and Shoplifter. As with the entirety of this tour, attendees of this set had stickers put over their phone cameras, to maintain an intimate and present atmosphere at the show.

Week 3: Madrid, Spain

For its third week, the tour moved south to Madrid, Spain, for an Oct. 17 show at IFEMA Madrid. The night’s special guests were Spanish producers Drea and Toccororo along with the South Sudan-born, France-based Skin On Skin. The latter guest did double duty, also working on one of the two tracks Fred dropped that same day. This release included Fred’s remix of “The Floor” and Skin On Skin’s remix of the same song. (And no, you’re not tripping if you’d can’t find the original version. There isn’t one.)
“right at the beginning of working on this song me and skinOnskin sent each other what we’d done and we realised we’d both taken it kinda opposite directions,” Fred wrote on YouTube of the two tracks on YouTube. “what was funny is i think i had kinda taken it to a place that reminded of what i loved about his music. and hed kinda done the same the other way round wit my music. so then we thought what if theres no original. and we jus put out both as 2 remixes of our own song. a song by us, remixed by him and remixed by me. i really love creating this sort of emotional duality wit something cos like well you can hear how tooootally different they feel.”

Week 4: Lyon, France

On Friday, Oct. 24 Fred played Lyon’s Halle Tony Garnier alongside Caribou and Floating Points, his collaborators on the day’s USB002 releases “Facilita” and “Ambery.” “It’s a total dream for me to get to release music with these two legends,” Fred wrote on Instagram of this new music and attendant set. “Last night we got to play together in Lyon and we were all really stunned by it ykno.”
The night’s set also contained an Easter egg about Fred’s next move, with Fred playing Daft Punk’s “Digital Love,” a clue that was compounded when Fred also wrote that “tonight something else is happening in Paris that I can barely type.”
That something else became instant dance music history, with Fred appearing alongside Busy P, Erol Alkan and Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter in Paris on the evening of Oct. 25. The set marked Bangalter’s first DJ set in 16 years, with the occasion being Because Beaubourg, a retrospective exhibition celebrating the 20-year history of Because Music.
“Last night I got to play with Thomas Bangalter, Erol Alkan, Busy P at the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the last night before it closes for 5 years,” Fred wrote of the show on Instagram. “Thomas told me in this lift on the way down to the show that the first time he fell in love with electronic music was in this building in 1992. He also told me hasn’t played a proper set without the mask on for 24 years. I didn’t know what to say to either of those things and I still don’t.”
Fred’s next USB002 performances will be this weekend in Dublin, with the producer saying that the song released in tandem will be hardstyle.

Week 5: Dublin, Ireland

From France, Fred took the USB002 train (a metaphorical ride, not an actual mode of transportation) to Dublin, where he unfolded a trio of events. The first was a Thursday night (Oct. 30) Twitch stream that featured Irish rappers Travy, Reggie and Elzzz, who joined to finish work on a pair of new tracks, “Talk of the Town” and “did it again.” The trio then relocated Dublin venue The Button Factory to debut this new music at a surprise pop-up show.
The revelry continued on Friday (Oct. 31), when Fred played for roughly 7,000 people at RDS Simmonscourt, playing with Irish DJ/producer Emma Reynolds, who performs as EMA, Irish artist and previous Fred collaborator Caolan Ryan and members of Irish post-punk band Fontaines DC Carlos O’Connell, Tom Coll and Conor Curley.
And that’s not all. In tandem with Friday show, Fred released “Hardstyle 2,” a collab with Kettama and Shady Nasty. It turned out to be a doubleheader, with the producer also officially releasing “Talk of the Town,” a collab with Sammy Virji and Reggie, on Nov. 3.

Week 6: Bye Week
Fred didn’t perform any shows over the weekend of Nov. 7-9, but he did share some updates and imagery from the tour so far. A Nov. 9 Instagram post revealed that the rest of the 10 Weeks/10 Shows run will happen in North America, with the first stop taking place in Toronto, Canada, with the exact date and venue to be announced.
The IG carousel also includes such ephemera as a Polaroid featuring Fred, Busy P, Erol Alkan and Thomas Bangalter, a shot of Amyl of Amyl and the Sniffers holding a crocheted needlepoint she made for Fred and other behind the scenes photo and videos.

Week 7: Toronto, Canada

The tour crossed the Atlantic for a pair of show in Toronto on Nov. 14-15 at YZD Hangar 5, a repurposed airplane hangar with a capacity of roughly 4,000. The first night’s lineup featured sets from Fred, along with Canadian producers Loukeman and Frossyouth and Berlin-based artist Brat Star, who after the show wrote on social media that “in all my years of DJ I never felt as well surrounded or played to a more awesome crowd as I did this Friday. Was such an Insanely special amazing show.”
Night two matched these vibes, with Fred playing an open-to-close b2b with longtime associate Four Tet. The guys’ selections included music by Rosalía, Kettama, Hamdi, Michelle Branch and their own productions, with Fred sharing videos of the night on his Instagram.
In terms of new music, after releasing the Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso collab “Beto’s Horns” on Nov. 7, the artist is now crowdsourcing suggestions on which of his new tracks to drop next, with the caption to his post with all the options saying that “btw i know we’re on more than 1 song a week right now and i absolutely dont care. in fact i do care, very much. i actually am loving the way this is feeling. It feels alive. And things are happening naturally and feeling good so im going wit them. Kaythankubye”

The tour made its U.S. debut on Nov. 21 at Chicago’s Navy Pier Events Center, where Fred welcomed special guest and fellow UK titan Sammy Virji. Together the guys ripped through a flurry of their own productions, including their collaborations “Talk of the Town” and “Winny,” with this latter track (a collaboration with Nigerian artist Winny) released in conjunction with the show as part of the USB002 rollout. See Fred’s footage from the show here.

Week 9: Vancouver, Canada

The Fred circus arrived in Vancouver with the mighty Skream & Benga in tow on Nov. 28, the same day Fred released not one but two singles, “Icey..” and “Feisty..”, both featuring American rapper Bia. The predictably sold out crowd gathered at the Vancouver Convention Center for a set that ran down many of the new USB002 songs, along with Fred standards including “Jungle,” “Turn On the Lights Again” and a well-placed segment of Bon Iver’s “Beth/Rest.”
Fred also brought along 16-year-old Slovenian dancer Ian Hotko, after seeing widely shared video of Hotko dancing to “Rumble.” Hotko appeared in the crowd in Vancouver dancing to “Feisty,” with Fred later sharing video of the performance and writing that “Eveeerryone I know basically sent me this video of him dancing to rumble in the last month. And if you haven’t seen it it’s inSANE. He turns off gravity at one point just for a sec. So we asked him if he wanted to shoot a video for this record in Vancouver. When I asked him if he wanted to listen to the song in advance.. he said no (!!!). he said it’s best when he just freeestyles. that blew my mind, I’d always thought these things were like meticulously choreographed!”

Week 10: San Francisco, United States
The Fred train arrived in San Francisco for a Dec. 5 show at the city’s legendary Cow Palace. Fred has a glitzy history in the city, with his and Skrillex’s b2b takeover of the city’s Civic Center in 2024 becoming instant Bay Area lore, and local fans enthusiastically welcomed him back by buying all the Dec. 5 tickets immediately after they went on sale.
Fred in fact nodded to the Civic Center show by bringing a trio of Bay Area DJs who played the 2024 event, Bad Juuju, Vertigo and Clearcast, to perform at the Cow Palace, with UK producers Oppidan and Hamdi also appearing at the show. The night happened in conjunction with the release of “solo”, the latest USB002 release, and a collab with South London rapper Blanco.
On Monday (Dec. 8), the producer also announced that the final show of the 10 weeks/10 songs/10 shows run will happen later this week in Mexico City, with special guests, Latin Mafia, Ezya and Loris.
