Adelaide weather forecast for Saturday December 6th and the days ahead

South Australia is set for a week of shifting conditions with the Bureau of Meteorology outlining a detailed forecast alongside a series of warnings for heightened fire danger and strong winds across multiple districts. Adelaide is preparing for a mix of mild, cool and warm weather patterns, with temperatures expected to move steadily upward as the new week begins.

Today, Adelaide will reach a maximum of 22 degrees with a 40% chance of showers, falling between 0 and 1 mm. Partly cloudy skies will linger and there is a slight chance of morning thunderstorms, though conditions will gradually ease as the day progresses. The cooler, unsettled weather continues into Sunday, with a minimum of 11 degrees and a top of 21 degrees. With just a 5% chance of rain and partly cloudy conditions, the day is expected to stay mostly dry and milder than today.

Clearer skies return on Monday, marking the start of a warmer trend. Adelaide will climb to 27 degrees with no chance of rain, offering a welcome burst of sunshine. That warming pattern continues into Tuesday, when the mercury rises further to 30 degrees. Sunshine is expected across both days, creating a sharp contrast to the cooler weekend conditions.

Across South Australia, varied weather conditions are being shaped by the State’s vast geography. Today, isolated showers and possible thunderstorms may develop across the north-eastern pastoral districts, with conditions improving gradually from the evening. From Sunday, drier weather is set to dominate most regions, though lingering light showers may persist in the far north and northeast. Temperatures statewide will remain below average for many areas, except in western parts of SA where warmer-than-usual conditions will settle in from Monday.

Significant weather warnings accompany the forecast, with the Bureau issuing an extreme fire danger warning for the North East Pastoral district today. Hot, dry and gusty winds are set to elevate fire risks, and residents in affected areas are advised to activate or review their bushfire survival plans.

Marine conditions are also impacted, with strong wind warnings issued for the South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Investigator Strait and both the Upper and Lower South East Coasts. Boaters and coastal communities are urged to take extra care on the water as conditions may become hazardous throughout the day.

As Adelaide transitions from showers to sunshine, and regions of the State face elevated fire risks and strong winds, authorities continue to encourage South Australians to remain weather-aware and prepared for changing conditions.
