Himani Mehta and Henyl Shah’s pre-wedding shoot at the iconic Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, unfolded like a modern fairytale with the unmistakable artistry of WeddingSutra Favorite – Seventy by Two at work. Set against the grandeur of Abu Dhabi’s celebrated landmark, the duo’s chemistry shone through every frame, with the photographers capturing the palace’s sweeping architecture, serene beachfront, and golden dusk light with signature finesse.
The duo’s story began when they were studying at Columbia University in New York. However, fate brought them together in Mumbai, where a simple first date turned into something extraordinary. Henyl surprised Himani and stole her heart with a homemade picnic at Bandstand, Bandra, with hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a view of the sea.
Set against this backdrop of effortless love, the images exuded quiet sophistication. Himani looked radiant in a midnight-blue gown, while Henyl mirrored her elegance in a classic black tuxedo. Together, they blended seamlessly into the palace’s gently illuminated archways, manicured pathways, and soft evening hues that wrapped them in an intimate calm. Whether walking hand in hand through the palace promenade, framed by dramatic silhouettes at dusk, or pausing beneath palm trees with the skyline shimmering behind them, every shot reflected harmony and the couple’s effortless chemistry.
Team Seventy by Two shared, “As the sun set over the majestic Emirates Palace, Himani and Henyl brought effortless style to this shoot. We captured the stunning walkways, the golden light falling on them, the serene beach, and some dramatic silhouettes – utilising every bit of opportunity the location had on offer.” The result was a collection of images that felt cinematic yet intimate.
