Watch First Footage of Map From Official Video Game

It has been three months since Illfonic (the creators behind Friday the 13th: The Game) announced that they would be delivering a new title based on John Carpenter’s Halloween through publisher Gun Media. And I still can’t believe it’s really happening. As a kid, I never would’ve imagined we’d one day have games where we could take on the role of Jason, Leatherface, or in this case, Michael Myers, yet here we are. Just recently, Illfonic released our first detailed look at one of the Halloween maps dubbed “Haddonfield Heights” in the video below!

Illfonic describes Haddonfield Heights as, “a neighborhood that houses a dark history. Some residents try to forget the horrors that occurred on Halloween night in 1963. Others gather at the Haddonfield water tower to share the twisted tale of Lampkin Lane.

Hearing Carpenter‘s eerie score as we stalk leaf-ridden streets, quiet living rooms and shadowy bedrooms…I have goosebumps. You can already sense that the game is going to be absolutely terrifying. Is it Halloween yet?

In Halloween, players step into the shoes of either Michael Myers or a Haddonfield civilian fighting for survival. The game features a 1v4 asymmetrical play style, pitting players against each other online, similar to Halloween‘s predecessors such as the aforementioned Friday the 13th: The Game and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game. And for those not interested in playing against others, Halloween will also feature a single-player campaign mode.

Halloween brings Michael Myers home when it releases September 8th, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.
