Major Details Emerge on 2 New PSL Teams

The two new teams for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) season are almost finalized, as Inverex Solar Group has emerged as one of the strongest contenders in the race to secure a new PSL franchise. If the company succeeds, its team is expected to represent either Faisalabad or Rawalpindi.

The renewable energy firm has maintained a long-standing association with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PSL, contributing as a sponsor for nearly a decade, which further strengthens their position in the bidding process.

Reports also suggest that the Aga Khan Group is exploring involvement in the league, showing interest in a franchise that could be based in Gilgit.

Meanwhile, ahead of the eleventh PSL season, the highly coveted trophy is set to embark on a promotional tour across the United Kingdom. Fans in major cities like London and Manchester will have the opportunity to view the trophy and possibly meet some of the league’s prominent cricketers.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer is expected to oversee the tour, which aims to connect with the sizable Pakistani fanbase residing in the UK and attract new commercial partnerships. Final scheduling details are likely to be announced soon.
