FIRST LOOK: Sip & Sear brings luxe Korean BBQ to Eastern Suburbs with an interactive fire-fuelled dining experience

Adelaide Korean barbecue lovers, prepare to be amazed. There’s a new spot in town bringing a fresh take on your typical Korean barbecue, grabbing the best parts of this communal style of dining and transforming it with a touch of luxury. Sip & Sear has arrived at Burnside Village as more than just a restaurant. Instead, this is an immersive journey built around connecting with loved ones and the thrill of cooking over fire.

“Sip & Sear brings a fresh and modern take on Korean-style BBQ to Adelaide, blending premium meat selection with social, interactive dining,” shared the team. “Guests can choose their preferred cuts directly from our butcher-style meat display and grill them at their table, creating a fun and memorable hands-on experience.”

The restaurant is thoughtfully designed for those who love a hands-on feast without losing the vibe of a top-tier venue. Your experience begins at the meat selection counter, where marbled Wagyu, prime beef and specialty selections invite diners to curate their own menu. It’s interactive but refined, with a blend of education and indulgence that encourages guests to slow down, ask questions and enjoy the experience.

At the table, the grill becomes central to the experience. Sip & Sear’s state-of-the-art Shinpo smokeless grills allow each cut to shine without the usual smoky haze that accompanies Korean barbecue. But if cooking isn’t your thing, there’s also a regular dining area where their great chefs can take the reins. “For diners who prefer a relaxed evening, we offer a regular dining area with chef-prepared dishes.”

Sip & Sear is moody and sophisticated, with warm lighting that shines over charcoal tones and bold design touches. Split into a collection of intimate private dining rooms, the venue leads diners on a curated path of smoke, spice and flavour.

The venue also features a spacious outdoor balcony where guests can enjoy the sunshine and take in the open-air atmosphere. “The space is warm, contemporary and designed for casual meals, dates, group dinners and weekend celebrations.”

Now at Burnside Village, Sip & Sear is joining one of Adelaide’s most established lifestyle and dining destinations.

“Burnside Village’s strong foot traffic, premium atmosphere and diverse customer base make it a perfect match for Sip & Sear’s focus on quality meats and social dining,” said the team. “The precinct attracts families, professionals and shoppers who appreciate good food and a comfortable dining experience. Combined with the open and modern architecture of the area, it is an ideal setting for a fresh take on Korean BBQ.”
