Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city’s Olney neighborhood.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city’s Olney neighborhood.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday on Somerville Avenue, near B Street.

Police say a man was shot six times in the torso.

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

More than a dozen evidence markers could be seen under a parked truck and on a small section of the sidewalk.

Police are checking the area for surveillance cameras to learn more about what happened.

The victim has not yet been identified.

So far, there’s no word on a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made.
