PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after his vehicle flipped over a guardrail and crashed into Cresheim Creek in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.
The crash occurred around 4 p.m. on Cresheim Valley Drive near Lincoln Drive.
Police tape blocked off the area as emergency crews worked to reach the overturned vehicle resting in the creek below the roadway.
Officials say a 54-year-old man was extricated from the car and was unresponsive when firefighters reached him.
He was transported to Einstein hospital.
It’s not yet clear whether anyone else was inside the vehicle at the time or what led to the crash.
No other cars were involved.
