Based on the manga’s synopsis and first chapter, it’s essentially a banishment-type story, but instead of a hero’s party or some other fantasy group, it’s a real-world celebrity family that’s casting out the protagonist. 

Here’s the premise:

Disowned by his elite celebrity family for being “useless,” Atsumu spent his youth in his sisters’ shadow—unbeknownst to everyone, he was the hidden genius behind their success all along! Now free from his family’s control, he’s swept into the entertainment world, catching the eye of top idols, models, and Vtubers who all recognize his true talent. Celebrity Family’s Ex-Backstage Son Wants a Normal Youth (the Japanese title, Urakata de Support shiteta Geino Ikka o Tsuiho sareta Boku wa, Futsu no Seishun o Okashitai, outright includes the word “banished”) started as a web novel in 2023. The Square Enix-published manga began serialization in May 2024 and has two volumes as of October 2025.
