November 26 is unofficially commemorated as Good Broccoli Day in Japan, due to Japanese wordplay. Seizing the opportunity, the Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! X (formerly Twitter) account has dropped an illustration of Anna Yanami with some broccoli, as well as other food, in the background.

The Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! (Makeheroine ga Osugiru!) light novel series, written by Takibi Amamori and illustrated by Imigimuru, made its debut in July 2021 and is published under the Gagaga Bunko label. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the premise as such:
Plain, boring, and friendless Nukumizu Kazuhiko has witnessed something completely baffling: popular girl Yanami Anna was friend-zoned by her childhood friend and crush! In fact, all the popular girls around him are getting similarly rejected by the boys they like. Without realizing it, Kazuhiko becomes entangled in the relationship drama where all the leading heroines are losing out on love! Can he keep their spirits up and help them find happiness?
Makeine has a manga by Itachi as well as a TV anime adaptation. The latter premiered in Japan in July 2024 and had a second season announced in April of this year.
The light novel series was the Gagaga Award winner at the 15th Shougakukan Light Novel Taisho and ranked first in a number of This Light Novel Is Amazing! 2025 categories, including the general category.
