Recently, Nausheen Shah appeared in Frieha Altaf’s podcast where she revealed the reason behind removing her Hijab and her spiritual journey.
Talking about Hijab, she said, “I had a dream where I was standing with my elder brother and my mother. We were walking when I heard a voice saying, ‘If you uncover your head, the angels will leave you.’ I woke up, instantly picked up my dupatta, and wore it for around four months. I wore it to every shoot, it was with me every time but then I realized I was living dual lives—one at work, one at home. At work I am all modern and at home I am with the scarf. I started questioning myself, I then decided to remove it. I asked Allah for forgiveness, and removed it, even though I was styling it gracefully and loved wearing it.” Here is the link to the video:
Talking about being spiritual, she said, “I used to pray to Allah, saying, ‘I want You; if You love me, bring me to the prayer mat.’ He answered my prayer, and now I am regular with my prayers.
