The countdown is officially on as High Voltage Grand Final week rolls into Adelaide, with the city preparing to host the bp Adelaide Grand Final and usher in a new era for Australia’s biggest domestic motorsport event. Excitement is already surging through the CBD as fans get their first look at the four Supercars finalists who will battle it out across three huge race days to be crowned the Repco Supercars season champion.
Broc Feeney, Chaz Mostert, Will Brown and South Australia’s own Kai Allen touched down in Adelaide today, stepping straight into Rundle Mall to meet eager fans ahead of an action-packed week. Their arrival marks the start of a brand-new finals format that will see all four contenders go wheel-to-wheel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in what’s shaping up to be one of the most dramatic season deciders yet.
This fresh approach to the Grand Final is being matched with a huge entertainment lineup, with Lenny Kravitz taking over the stage on Saturday night and Australian rock icons AC/DC closing out the festival on Sunday. Kravitz will be joined by much-loved Aussie rockers Jet, while AC/DC will be supported by Amyl and the Sniffers fresh from making waves at the ARIA Awards. It’s a blockbuster combination set to bring tens of thousands into the heart of the city.
Early signs suggest the momentum is already paying off. Ticket sales are soaring, up more than 50 per cent compared with this time last year, and all four-day grandstand seats have completely sold out. Only a small number of single-day seats remain, while corporate hospitality bookings have jumped by 20 per cent — a major win for an event that delivered a $72.6 million economic benefit last year.
Premier Peter Malinauskas says the decision to bring Supercars back to Adelaide is continuing to pay dividends. “As a Government, we made an active decision to bring back the Supercars. But we didn’t stop there. We invested in the event to grow it and deliver improved economic returns for South Australians,” he says. “Last year, the event delivered a more than 70-million dollar economic benefit. This year, the new era of the bp Adelaide Grand Final is shaping up as even better. Ticket sales are already up 50 per cent, and corporate hospitality up 20 per cent. The offering is exceptional. A genuine Championship-deciding Grand Final, guaranteed to go down to the wire. AC/DC. Lenny Kravitz. Jet. Amyl and the Sniffers. It’s affordable, action-packed, entertainment for all ages.”
The build-up will continue across the week, with fan-favourite traditions returning. Tomorrow, the iconic Transporter Parade will roll from the northern suburbs into the city, filling King William Street and Wakefield Street with B-double transporters carrying every Supercars team. On Wednesday night, drivers will take their 25 Chevrolet Camaros and Ford Mustangs through the city into Victoria Square for the bp Adelaide Grand Final Parade.
South Australian Motor Sport Board CEO Mark Warren says the city is more than ready. “Adelaide is ready to go racing for the bp Adelaide Grand Final to crown the 2025 Supercars Champion,” he says. “Our grand final week activities provide lots of opportunities for fans and patrons to get up-close and amongst the action, particularly in the Adelaide CBD. The final chapter of the exciting finals format with our four contenders all gunning for championship glory is perfect for our event, and the iconic Adelaide Street Circuit celebrating 40-years. Who will win?… Get your tickets to find out!”
Final tickets are still available for 27–30 November, including access to the huge Saturday and Sunday night concerts. Free public transport is available for all ticketholders.
