The future is being rewritten, and the Black Science Fiction Society (BSFS) is preparing for an exciting new chapter!
For years, the Black Science Fiction Society has served as a creative home for writers, artists, filmmakers, comic book creators, visionaries, and fans who believe in the power of Black imagination. Our mission has always been to celebrate, support, and amplify diverse voices in science fiction, fantasy, horror, Afrofuturism, and speculative storytelling.
Now, we’re taking that mission to the next level!
We are excited to announce that a brand-new Black Science Fiction Society website is currently in development! This transformation represents more than a fresh look. It signals a renewed commitment to innovation, community engagement, independent creators, and the limitless possibilities of the future.
WHAT’S COMING?
Our new direction will focus on creating a more dynamic, interactive, and engaging experience for our growing community.
We envision a platform that places Black independent creators front and center, providing greater opportunities to showcase original stories, artwork, comics, films, animation, and groundbreaking creative projects.
As digital storytelling continues to evolve, we are embracing emerging technologies, multimedia entertainment, artificial intelligence, and new opportunities for creators to connect directly with audiences around the world.
We also want to strengthen the relationships that make our community special by encouraging collaboration, meaningful conversations, networking, and the discovery of exciting new talent.

The Black Science Fiction Society has always believed that representation matters, imagination has no boundaries, and our stories deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Our next chapter builds upon that foundation while opening doors to new generations of storytellers, innovators, and dreamers.
This isn’t simply a website redesign. It’s the beginning of a renewed movement to expand the visibility, influence, and opportunities of Black speculative fiction worldwide.
