Sydney is facing another off-field crisis with a senior player in trouble with the law after failing a roadside drug test.
The club revealed on Wednesday that forward Tom Papley had failed a roadside drug test, with the AFL and the Swans awaiting further results.
In an email sent out by the club, the Swans revealed Papley was pulled over in New South Wales on Monday for driving with a suspended licence due to an outstanding parking fine.

During the stop, a random drug test returned a positive finding, with a second sample taken away for analysis, with the results still outstanding.
Papley immediately informed the club of the incident, with the AFL also made aware, with the Swans making no further comment as the police continue their analysis.
The 30-year-old is the latest senior Swan to fall afoul of the law after the Pullman Five derailed their finals campaign.
Nick Blakey, Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, James Jordon and Riley Bice were suspended after an investigation into an alleged sexual assault, and while Bice was later cleared, all five players were suspended from the Club following the alleged incident for breaching behavioural standards.
Victoria Police have not laid any charges in relation to the incident and this masthead is not suggesting the players are guilty of any wrongdoing, just that they are assisting police with enquiries.
