New England Patriots
Tom Brady will be on the call for Fox during Sunday’s game between the Patriots and Packers.
For the first time since August 2025, Tom Brady will return to Foxborough on Sunday.
This time, he’ll be in the broadcast booth at Gillette Stadium.
For the first time since taking over as Fox’s lead color commentator for NFL games, Brady will be on the mic for a Patriots game, calling Sunday’s matchup between New England and the Green Bay Packers.
Brady will be in the booth alongside Fox’s primary play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt, while Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will be on the sidelines for the broadcast.
Fox Sports released a teaser video for Brady’s anticipated return to New England on social media Monday night, showcasing some of the future Hall of Famer’s top moments over a 20-year tenure that resulted in nine Super Bowl appearances and six total championships with the Patriots.
While this marks the third season of Brady in the booth for Fox, it’s taken some time for Fox’ top broadcast team to call a Patriots game.
Granted, the 2024 Patriots weren’t exactly a compelling watch under Jerod Mayo, posting just a 4-13 record.
New England exceeded plenty of expectations last year en route to 14 wins and a run to Super Bowl LX, but the Patriots didn’t draw many primetime matchups or much hype entering that season, prompting Fox to send its top broadcast crew elsewhere.
Sunday’s matchup is a worthy primetime matchup, with Drake Maye and the 5-3 Patriots set to host Jordan Love and the 5-3 Packers.
Brady rankled Patriots fans when he said he didn’t have “a dog in the fight” when asked whether he was rooting for New England or Seattle in Super Bowl LX. But, he’s has plenty of praise for Maye so far this season.
“I think it shows a ton of mental toughness,” Brady said of Maye last month when asked about the QB’s resurgent play after a shaky start in 2026. “He got off to a slow start. Look, he’s still a young quarterback. He’s only in year three. He’s got a great play-caller in Josh McDaniels. They’re figuring out what they’re good at. That’s what the Patriots always do, and early in the season.”
The Patriots will have several legends on hand around Gillette Stadium this weekend, as Rob Gronkowski will be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Brady and Gronkowski teamed up for 90 career touchdowns over their nine seasons as teammates, the second-most for a quarterback-receiver duo in NFL history.
